The Ares Amoeba AM-014 Honey Badger draws its inspiration from the AAC Honey Badger PDW, a Colt Automatic Rifle (CAR-15) based assault rifle designed in close cooperation with American special operations units. Named after the fearless honey badger, this real steel rifle was developed as an effective replacement for the Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun and other Close Quarters Battle (CQB) weapon systems.
AMOEBA AIRSOFT, a company keen on designing and developing innovative products, decided to create an airsoft version of this weapon. Many people have customized their own versions, but ARES stands as the only company that has developed the AM-013 and AM-014 versions which closely resemble the AAC Honey Badger.
